Designer vs Dupe Options

Hello friends, thank you for stopping by! I know how frustrating it can be to find “the perfect shoe” or “the perfect bag” with the not so perfect price tag. I also know what it’s like to want to recreate a look that a blogger posted but it’s difficult when the pieces in the outfit don’t agree with your shopping budget. I’ve created this blog post with hopes that it’ll make shopping a little easier and a lot more budget friendly.

This idea came to me when I was shooting for The Mint and saw so many pieces that reminded me of the designer pieces I had at home (watch my IG story highlight to see the dupes!)

I also recently did a try on session where I was wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin sandals… and I felt horrible when I received over 50 Dm’s about them & had to break the news about how expensive they are. However, I remembered seeing a pair of sandals that looked very similar at Steven Madden! That is when I came up with the idea of typing up a blog post with high end fashion and their dupes.

I want to point out a very important statement: I DO NOT support buying FAKES or counterfeit items. You may not be aware of this but buying fakes can mean that your money is going towards funding crime. There are organized gangs behind these fakes, who often use women in sex trafficking to create these fakes & then they use the funds to continue in nasty practices.

Also, I wanted to point out the fact that there really is something special about saving up and purchasing your “first Kate Spade necklace” or your “first Louis Vuitton.” I actually saved up & purchased my very first Louis used, and it was still an incredible feeling. It’s honestly a lot of fun saving up for something you love vs. taking the easy/illegal way out and buying a fake.

With this being said, I will never support in buying “fakes” or counterfeit items. This post is to help you find similar, comparable, and more affordable options that are just as cute & trendy as the designer pieces.

Okay, stepping off my soap box… and now I’m excited to share with you some amazing designer pieces and their dupes!  Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and/or feedback.

On the LIKEtoKNOW.it app I try my best to always link everything I am wearing as well as similar/more affordable options. If you do not have the app, I suggest downloading it (it’s free!) because it’s the easiest way to shop what us bloggers are wearing in our photos. But for those who do not have the app, I will try to start adding my pictures to my blog and linking what I am wearing on here.
