My Favorite Atlanta Restaurants
Umi: An amazing date night, birthday, or anniversary! This is definitely a splurge restaurant but completely worth it! Sushi is by far one of my favorite foods, so you can trust me on this. Matt and I love the Hamachi sashimi and would recommend making that as part of your order! Umi has a great selection of cocktails too to make it the perfect night! Be sure and dress up for this restaurant, you won’t regret it!
Barcelona Wine Bar: An amazing date night or girl’s night spot. Barcelona was the first restaurant I fell in love with, in Atlanta! I could not get over their amazing wine and tapas selection! Be sure to try the hanger steak and meatballs! SO delish. With two locations, one in Inman park, and the other onthe westside, there is no reason not to give this place a try! Be prepared they only take debit/credit though! Need a wine suggestion? My personal fav here is the Penalolen Cabernet.
O-ku: One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Atlanta! If you’ve followed me for some time you have probably seen me spend birthday here a few times! I just love it. Located in the west side with amazing views from the rooftop during summertime! Be sure and checkout their happy hour menu if you want a fun, more affordable way of dining here! This is another restaurant you’ll want to throw your favorite heels on for. The waiters and waitresses are so kind, I always enjoy coming back here. A MUST is the wagyu sushi. It melts in your mouth and will be your favorite thing there by far—I pretty much dream of going here always!
Gypsy Kitchen: Girls night, girl’s night, girls night!! This is your spot. Gypsy kitchens chicken and potato tapas dishes keep me going back! This restaurant is super unique with their Spanish tapas. Not only is there amazing food but the drinks are killer as well, the environment is so fun with it being located at the shops of Buckhead. It would make for a super fun brunch girls’ night, or first date!
Southern Gentleman: Also located at the shops at Buckhead, this restaurant is great, but the dessert menu is what truly sets them apart! I have the biggest sweet tooth-mainly for chocolate- and I go here knowing I’ll never be disappointed! The fried chicken is also 12/10!
Canoe: This is for the ladies looking for a romantic date night spot! Canoe sits right on the Chattahoochee, so it has great views and ambiance to match the amazing food! Nothing says “we’re in love” like a date night at canoe. Not sure what to order? I personally recommend getting a variety of the appetizers and share them as entrees. They are incredible.
Ponce City Market: Located right on the beltline, this is a super fun spot to bring family from out of town, a friend, a date—there really isn’t any situation that isn’t great for Ponce! Ponce has so many restaurants to choose from! This can be super fun if everyone wants something different and you just want to eat and spend time together! The only thing about Ponce is sometimes it can be hard to find sitting to eat, you just have to be on the lookout for a group about to leave! Ponce can be the one stop shop because there is breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert! Don’t even get me started on the edible cookie dough, and 100-layer doughnuts! Ponce is located in the Midtown/Old Fourth Ward/Virginia Highlands area, so you can also make a wholeday out of going there and Piedmont Park! You can even rent bikes or roller blades to get form place to place!
Eight Sushi: Are you noticing a theme yet? That I love sushi lol! This spot is located in West Midtown aka thewestside. Some of my personal favorites are the hashtags roll and the Langoustine roll! But honestly everything on the menu is a homerun. It can be loud in here on the weekend with a small dining room so be prepared to get close to your date or friends to have a convo!
Le Colonial: Located in the shops at Buckhead, this restaurant is so pretty! I love the décor and the vibes in here. This is the type of restaurant where you will want to try a little bit of everything. Encourage your friends to split appetizers and entrees with you, that way you can enjoy a little taste of everything. The food is incredible.
Le Bilboquet: Located in Buckhead and somewhere I love to go for special occasions (where I had my 25th birthday dinner). It is a beautiful restaurant with amazing food! It is a limited menu but delicious! I really enjoy the chicken entree and the mushroom risotto as an appetizer.
Chops & Lobster Bar (aka Chops): If you’re looking for a steak dinner… this is for you! I find the “USDA Prime, Filet Mignon Center Barrel Cut 8 Oz” is perfect! Can’t forget a side of mac and cheese though! If you need a solid, can’t fail you option, this is perfect! Chops is perfect for romantic date nights, business dinners and celebrations. Attire: Business casual. Dress up! Throw on a nice dress & heels. (I would also like to point out that “Chops Lobster Bar” is downstairs and allows smoking. With that being said, we always book for Chops upstairs where no smoking is prohibited. I hear that the Lobster Bar is a lot of fun, I’m just extremely sensitive to smoke.) Located in Buckhead near the Shops of Buckhead and the St Regis. Also, don’t forget to bring cash for valet!
Bar Taco: So so so so fun! This is a great girl’s night or fun date night whether you just met this person, or you are looking for a random date night spot with your significant other! I can’t rave about the tacos enough- the variety is so good and fun, and I always end up with one of everything because all of them are so good and unique!
Nina & Rafi: An awesome beltline spot! This is great when you want to grab a delicious but casual pizza! Their outdoor dining area is great because you can watch people on the beltline run and bike bywhile enjoying their deep dish! Nina and Rafi is a super fun atmosphere.
